Redefining comfort with frames designed to stay put — even when you don’t.
Eyewear wasn’t the industry Detroit-born inventor and entrepreneur Nancy Oram set out to disrupt. With over 30 years in the automotive sector, she built a successful career as a purchasing professional at major players like Ford and Chrysler. A graduate of Wayne State University and the University of Detroit Mercy, she also studied at Oxford, where she earned an MBA in international business. “I loved negotiating contracts, working with suppliers, building relationships—it was a great career,” she said.
Though she excelled in the logical, high-stakes world of corporate procurement, Oram also had a creative drive that pushed her to think differently. That impulse to innovate led her somewhere entirely unexpected: the world of eyewear.
