As this year’s Visionary Award honoree at the ACE Awards, Kahn’s journey is not defined by a single moment, but by decades of discipline, curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to growth. Having had the opportunity to work with him over the past 25 years, it has been remarkable to watch that journey, one shaped as much by humility as it is by achievement, unfold.
Kahn’s story begins not in a boardroom, but in a family jewelry business in Chicago and Palm Beach. Long before fashion, before law, before corporate leadership, he was immersed in the fundamentals — setting up displays, cleaning counters, and handling inventory. That experience left a lasting impression. “When you open the safe every morning and take the jewels out and reverse the process at night, you develop a deep appreciation for inventory and discipline,” he said. It’s a lesson that continues to inform his thinking today: respect the product, understand the business, and never lose sight of the details.
