Founded in 1993, Knoxville, Tennessee based Jewelry Television (JTV) celebrated its 30th anniversary this past October. What began as a small local broadcast about the collectibles market has grown into a robust national e-commerce platform and live TV programming network available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week to roughly 80 million US and Canadian households. With a mission to make jewelry and gemstones accessible to everyone, the brand has grown into a leading global jewelry and gemstones business. With its global buying power, sourcing expertise, and direct manufacturing partners, JTV offers consumers a wide range of choices in nearly every jewelry category imaginable — from color gemstones to diamonds, gold to silver, and everything in between. Led by president and CEO Tim Matthews, who is also a member of the company’s board of directors, JTV continues to build on its history and expand its product offerings.


Matthews joined the company in 2008 following a 25-year career in the field of law. Under his guidance, the company successfully weathered the recession of 2007-2009 and today has more than 1,000 global artisans and employees on the books. The company has offices in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jaipur, and Mumbai.

Most recently, JTV opened an office in Kochi to provide technology and additional support services to its offices around the world. And while the company is still based in Knoxville, JTV has recently started broadcasting and trading in Canada. From legacy brands like Judith Ripka to the rich cultures honored through the Artisan jewelry collections, JTV is home to 30 exclusive jewelry brands and more than 40,000 designs. The company receives approximately 4 million customer calls each year and has shipped 6.7 million orders. JTV.com sees approximately 4.5 million web visits per month.

The company recently introduced a new brand, Jedora, a marketplace for jewelry, watches, and gemstones. The online jewelry marketplace brings together brands, designers, and worldclass manufacturers from around the world in a single place. Think of it as an Amazon model built by jewelry, watch, and gemstone experts. As part of its commitment to customer satisfaction and the development and distribution of educational content, JTV employs numerous graduate gemologists and accredited jewelry professionals. These industry experts create educational content about gemstones, jewelry styles and trends, market conditions and more to ensure their customers are making informed decisions about the products they are purchasing.
